To the OP, you have a 2nd thread on the same topic. You should check it as you canngo back to 1.2.3. LOG IN TO REPLY |

I didn't even know there was such a version for the 5D III. I will go back to keeping my mouth shut now. Just Sports Photography My Junk LOG IN TO REPLY |

(5 edits in all) | Feb 19, 2015 16:21 | #5 I am not so sure there ever was a 1.3.0 version for the 5D,3 but if there was, it was quickly surpassed by 1.3.3 These are all available at http://pel.hu/eoscard/ 1.1.2 1.1.3 1.2.1 1.2.3 You can still backdate to earlier versions but Canon recently made it impossible to do using the memory card method. You now get this message: So now you have to use the Canon EOS Utility to backdate your firmware. Here are the simplified instructions: 1. download the firmware version 1.2.3 and save it anywhere on your computer 2. Connect your camera using the USB cable to your computer and open Canon EOS Utility 3. select camera settings/remote shooting under control camera tab 4. then select setup menu in newly opened window there you could see the selection for Firmware 5. Click firmware then system will give you the option for update (either upgrade/downgrade) 6. then navigate and point out the 1.2.3 firmware location on your computer Mike Sowsun / S110 / SL1 / 80D / EF-S 24mm STM / EF-S 10-18mm STM / EF-S 18-55mm STM / EF-S 15-85mm USM / EF-S 18-135mm USM / EF-S 55-250mm STM / 5D3 / Samyang 14mm 2.8 / EF 40mm 2.8 STM / EF 50mm 1.8 STM / EF 100mm 2.0 USM / EF 100mm 2.8 USM Macro / EF 24-105mm IS / EF 70-200mm 2.8L IS Mk II / EF 1.4x II Full Current and Previously Owned Gear List over 40 years Flickr Photostream LOG IN TO REPLY |

Theres a couple of other threads with users of other cameras (like the 7D) that would need to downgrade to install ML. I think it only applies to the 5D3 with 1.3.3 firmware.(so far) As long as you don't have 1.3.3 on your 5D3 you are still able to backdate to earlier firmware versions using the memory card. Once you install 1.3.3 you will have to use the EOS Utility method. mannetti21 wrote in post #17439933 Perhaps I'm missing something, but why are so many people looking to revert back to the old firmware? Magic Lantern has to be tailored to each new firmware that comes along, and that takes time to write the new code for each firmware version. That is why I sometimes need to backdate firmware. I have done this on the 7D, 5D2, and 5D3. StuckPixelStuckPixel 1 post Joined Jan 2018 | First time in this forum, hi folks. I have a EOS 5D MkIII with firmware 1.3.3. I am using Photoshop CS6 and don't want to go to the monthly system right now. My question is CS6-related. Will I have any problems upgrading firmware to 1.3.5 with my old Photoshop. Everything is fine at the moment. Does anyone use 1.3.5 firmware with CS6? LOG IN TO REPLY |
